Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cloth Goblin, operated by Friar Tek, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using Cloth Goblin you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Cloth Goblin is a map-based directory of thrift stores, donation bins, and donation centers. We provide this service on a best-effort basis. Location data may be inaccurate or out of date — always verify directly with a store before visiting.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 13 or older to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You may not create accounts for others without their permission.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Payments and Refunds

Thrifter Unlock ($0.99 one-time): Grants permanent access to the full map on all your devices for the life of the service. This is a one-time purchase and is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or app store policy.

Goblin Subscription ($7.99/month): Grants full map access plus the ability to post comments, photos, and great finds on any location. Renews monthly. Cancel any time via your account dashboard or by emailing us. No partial-month refunds.

Donation Center Subscription ($7.99/month): Renews monthly. Cancel any time via your account dashboard or by emailing us. No partial-month refunds. Apple and Google subscription purchases are governed by their respective store policies.

4. Community Location Submissions

  • Free accounts may submit up to 2 location suggestions.
  • Unlocked accounts ($0.99) may submit up to 2 location suggestions.
  • Goblin accounts ($7.99/month) may submit unlimited location suggestions.
  • Donation center accounts ($7.99/month) may add unlimited locations directly.
  • Submitted locations are reviewed before appearing on the map (typically 24–48 hours).
  • We may reject or remove submissions that are inaccurate, inappropriate, or duplicates.
  • By submitting a location you grant us a licence to display that information publicly.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not:
  • Submit false, misleading, or spam location data.
  • Scrape or bulk-download map data via automated means.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or security measures.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code in Cloth Goblin is owned by Friar Tek, LLC unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Location data submitted by users remains the factual record of that place; we do not claim copyright over factual address or business information.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location data. We are not responsible for any loss or harm arising from reliance on information in the app.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Friar Tek, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
